Commemorative T-shirts

A limited number of T-shirts commemorating the John Denver Nature Exhibit are still available. Proceeds from the sale of the shirts will help support the dedication. Any funds left over after the dedication will go directly to care for the animals that live at the Austin Nature Center.

The T-shirts are 100% cotton shirts by Hanes, colors are stone-washed (light) green or off-white (oatmeal), with forest green ink, and they are printed on both sides. We anticipate adding an additional color shirt soon.

On the front left breast are the words "Remembering John" with an etch of a mountain range and a flying eagle above the words. On the back is a sketch of the image of the memorial along with the shadow of a flying eagle. The following words appear under this image:

Sizes are: Med. 34-36, Large 40-44, XL 46-48, (and limited number of size XXL 50-52). Color will depend on availability. If we are out of your size, we will send the next size larger, unless you specify otherwise.

Price including shipping and handling: $25 each. Checks should be made out to "John Denver Memorial" and mailed to PO Box 2663, Austin TX 78768. Include number of shirts, sizes, your mailing address, and phone number. Purchases in quantities of 3 or more are $20 each (which includes shipping and handling).

Donations for the Birds

Any money left over in our fund after the dedication and concert is complete will be used directly for the care of the animals that live at the Austin Nature Center. All donations placed in the donation box installed in the John Denver Memorial will go directly toward their care.

If you wish to make a donation specifically for the care of the animals that find sanctuary at the Nature Center, you may make your check payable to "Austin Nature and Science Center", and mail to: "Austin Nature Center, 301 Nature Center Drive, Austin TX 78746-5775" . It is extremely important that you put a note with and on the check which specifies that the donation is to be "used exclusively to care for the animals that live at the Austin Nature Center."

If you wish to donate using your credit card, please provide your card number, expiration date, name as it appears on the card, zip code to which your statement arrives, amount donated, and your signature. Please state clearly that the donation is "for the care of the animals that live at the Austin Nature Center."

The Austin Nature and Science Center is a 501C charitable organization, and your direct donations are tax deductable.

An on-site Silent Auction will be held during the day of the dedication. You must be present to bid or a representative may make your bid if they are in attendance at the event. No items will be shown or posted on the web.

We are actively soliciting items for the auction. If you would like to donate, please contact us immediately with a description of the item, providing your name, email address, phone number, and the value of the item. See the "contact information" section of these webpages.

All proceeds from the silent auction will go directly to the care of the animals that find sanctuary at the Austin Nature Center. Your donation of items or your winning bid is tax deductible.
